Maria Shahvari aspires to be your Realtor® for Life.
She believes in providing excellent service before, during and after the sale – and the importance of nurturing relationships and staying engaged in the community that she calls home.
Her journey to a real estate career sprang forth from a desire to help others.
“After purchasing my first home, I began assisting my parents and friends who were looking to move to Pinehurst,” she recalls. “Working with my Realtor®, we previewed properties to narrow down the homes to view … I fell in love with figuring out what they were looking for in their ideal home and finding the perfect match.”
In 2017, Maria joined the award-winning team at Coldwell Banker Advantage in Pinehurst/Southern Pines.
Whether you are in the market for a first – or 10th – home, new construction or existing properties, upsizing, downsizing or relocating with the military, Maria has the knowledge and experience to assist in every process.
“I also have a lot of experience in working with local builders,” she says. “I have assisted buyers at many levels – starting with the search for land, viewing floorplans and choosing finishes, or negotiating concessions to make a purchase possible. I’ve also had the pleasure to list new construction homes for several builders.”
Prior to real estate, Maria worked as an educator. She was a special education teacher in Alexandria, Virginia, and also taught children of service members in Japan, Germany, Kansas, and Fort Bragg (now Liberty). She earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from George Washington University.
Maria and her family now happily make their home in West End in Moore County. She is married to Chad Brown, a mental health therapist with a private practice in Pinehurst. Two daughters and a stepson are active middle-schoolers. Two Bernedoodles and two cats complete the household.
Maria enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and participating in building day with Habitat For Humanity.
